But we were babies in the 60's!

Men in their 40's have become complacent.

Where men of a more seasoned generation, and certainly some men not yet 40, appreciate the subtle chivalrous gesture of opening a car door for you, or taking your hand and helping you up a stair, leading you through a crowded room, or opening a door for you, today's 40's man - doesn't give this a thought. Today's 40's man would rather have a relationship with a 20-something woman who, hopefully has daddy issues.  Is this the product of the woman's fight for equality? (The K.T Oslin song is playing over and over in my mind, "80's Ladies").

In our fight for equal rights, the right to vote and equal pay, have we short-changed ourselves in the Prince Charming category? The rise of the Women's Rights Movement began in 1964. Coincidentally, the men of this generation are 40 something. The very men who would rather date a 20's something.

Does this mean that the women born in the 60's are harder to impress and even harder to convince or, could this mean that we demand equality, espically in marriage and therefore, too difficult to date? We are strong, seemingly intelligent, independent and self sufficient. By being so, have we priced ourselves out of the market?
